Yugo SKS barrel dimensions

Hello all,

I'm hoping someone can give me some measurements on the Yugo SKS barrel. In particular, I need diameters from in front of the chamber area and the taper to the muzzle. A sampling of bore dimensions would also be helpful for casting purposes.

Each rifle is different. I have two Yugo's and both have different dimensions. The one that shoots cast boolits the best, I size to .316" because it's throat is .316" and the bore groove diameter is .312". I'm using a NOE 316-160 FN mold.

Best bet for you would be to do your own pound slug on your own rifle and then determine your own dimensions. It's not that hard and will rid any doubt of your rifles chamber sizes.

I don't have a rifle to measure, hence the questions. I'm looking for a .312-.314 barrel for a project and need to know external dimensions for threading compatibility purposes. I appreciate your data point though, I just don't want to end up with a barrel less than .312 or greater that .315 for ammo compatibility reasons.
