    Trade Ratio???

I have a bunch of #7 1/2 shot in plastic containers that I'm considering posting as a trade for COWW ingots. From reading here, someone suggested trading off shot for COWW's instead of melting it down for boolits. Any shotgun reloaders out there? What ratio would be fair for a trade?

Well I am coming at the problem from the other side. I turn wheel weights into shot.

If it was my time, energy, I would not consider a trade unless it was 2 lbs of COWW ingots for 1 lb of shot.

But then I'm fussy and and I willing to pay for my WW ingots. Considering the cost of shot I think they are worth all of that as is, uncoated, unsized, as run with no big globs, strings or chunks.

    Someone else may not agree.

On amazon 1 25# bag goes for between $50 and $55. 2 to 1 would sound reasonable.
A vote for anyone other then the conservative candidates is a vote for the liberal candidates.

I'd go with 2-to-1 as well. $1/lb seems to be a fair going rate for the "everyday" alloys around here, and shot is easily $2/lb without shipping most of the time.

My thoughts exactly. Most "common" lead is a $1 a pound (minus lino, mono, & foundry)

So, what do you guys think is fair for a linotype trade? Or, maybe range scrap or pure lead?

Lino I see as commonly being worth double what pure or range scrap.

If someone offered me Lino for shot on a one to one trade I would take it as long as I could replace my wheel weights used to make the shot. Which is getting harder and harder to do these days.

If I had shot for sale I'd price it at $2/lb and ignore anything less than $1.75.

This is a good question thanks for posting it, I also have about 300 lbs of shot that I was thinking of just melting down I have no use for 00, and #4. I should look into trading it
