    Lyman 450 prob.

The pressure screw in a 450 has a hex shape to the upper 1". This has become founded so the fetches I own will not engage to turn the screw. I just filled the reservoir with lube. So is there any way to "freshen" the hex, or do I just get out the vice grip till I get it empty and receive a new screw?

The hex is 1/4", you can simply file new flats to take a 6mm wrench (it wont need much filework).

You take the pressure rod out - just like your adding lube and clean it before you do the file work.

Removing the rod not a good idea with a full reservoir.

Worked like a charm. Back in business.

Why? Unless your lube is almost liquid it will hold it's shape when youpul the rod out - just like it does when you add a stick of lube.
