just picked up 2 roll crimpers like yours, one is a 20 gauge and the other is a 16. traded a lady that owns an antique store some squash and eggs for them.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I was recently at a pre 1898 gun show and one gentlemen had roll crimp tools priced from $45 to $75. I did not see him sell any, it seems the going price in this area is closer to $25.

I got my roll crimper at an antique store years ago, when the lady couldn't explain how it was used. I offered her $2.00 and she sold it. Not long after I discovered the fun of loading black powder shell for my hammer shotguns......

Not long after I discovered the fun of loading black powder shell for my hammer shotguns......

We loaded many black powder loads on the lee for our exposed hammer double guns. Something to be said about shooting clays at the farm with an old side by side. I even took the loader to school for my freshman demonstration speech, the teacher request I use a filler instead of powder, so I used sand for powder and a spent primer.

A paper shot shell iron. It melted the wax in a paper shell and renewed the crimp.
