    DIY Roll crimper

Recently made my own roll crimper for 12 gauge. Just used pics for reference and I thought it was going to work well but I was wrong. The roll goes to the outside instead of the inside. Someone said there is a blue print or a diagram for a good design. Anyone know where that's at?

Good morning wwboolitmaker, I fabricated my own Roll crimper some time ago, it worked reasonably well.
The major thing is getting the angle of the inner walls right. The inner wall MUST slope inwards... Measurements are mm [Metric]
It served me for a few years.

But I then simply bought an actual one on Amazon for less than $20.

Thanks, I was going to make one but a member here had one for $20 shipped! It may have taken me a couple of hours to make one but I am sure this one will work!

I have bought two roll crimpers (12 gauge and 20 gauge) from Ballistic Products and have been very pleased how well they work. Both do a fine job and leave you with a crimp that performs like it came from the factory.

I got BPI crimpers for the 8 and 10 gauge . Also got Crimpers from Precision for the 12 and 16 . They all do an adequate job for me . Maybe down the road I’ll add one for the 20 and possibly the 28 but there’s no rush on that .
