ID:	190500Attachment 190499Just wanted to brag about my latest investment on my loading equipment. Another MBF dropper for 9mm! I have one for 45 and 30 cal rifle already and I have to say these are the best damn things ever. They flat work. The adjustments mean something. They are reliable and consistent and don't give a damn about what type of bullet coating or shapes you throw at it.
Anyone trying to use that Hornady piece of carp do yourself a favor and upgrade to this thing, you'll be glad you did. They cost a little more, but they are soooo worth it.

Still doesn't explain what it is or how it works to do whatever it does.

Lol yes sorry. It's a bullet dropper that comes with their feeder collator system but they sell it solo if you want to just hand feed it or make your own collator. Compare to hornady or rcbs bullet feeder die that doesn't work at all or picky at best.

It comes as you see for 50$ or with clear tube and switch assembly for 100$ I just use the dropper part.

Here it is in action. It will drop a bullet and place it perfectly on a case when a case is present only. It also uses the column of bullets above its weight to help really stick the bullet in there so it doesn't tip when the plate rotates. It really frees up my attention to look at other things like powder charges, case damages and keeps my left hand focused on loading cases only. Right hand only pumps lever. It's the grease in my system that makes it all work seamlessly. YMMV

They are actually made to only work with Dillon, in their full-kit bullet feeder. I'm kinda shocked they still haven't offered the full system one for Hornady yet, as near as I can tell it's just a matter of simple mounting hardware for the collator as they are using the case feeder on a Dillon I believe. But, the die is just a die so it will work in any press equally well.

I got in this 9mm one yesterday and today it helped me crank out about 800 rnds in no time. I was feeding it tumble coated and sloppy baked boolits that were a little crusty and not all that consistent at all. Something that wouldn't even dream of feeding in the Hornady version.

For rifle I simply use this die and no tube or collator at all. The die holds 3 bullets and I simply feed the die rather than placing them by hand on the case. This speeds my process because I can feed the die at the top of the stroke when that hand is idle anyway, and if I'm late it doesn't matter since there's a 2-bullet buffer below it anyway, I can even take a sip of coffee or whatever and a bullet will still be placed.

    Hard to explain.

That's really cool. Even just feeding the die would be quicker if it drops the bullet perfectly in place without having to adjust it. You say this is used with the Dillon case feeder?

if you're feeding the die it will work with any press. The 650$ collator feeder setup they make, which is what made this dropper die famous, is designed to hang off the Dillon case feeder. So, I guess it's "designed" to work with Dillon but I'd think that with a few cost hangars, some duct tape and a little ingenuity that you could make the feeder setup work on any press too. But again, this is just the dropper die and it just takes any old die hole to use. Put a long tune on it or whatever like the Hornady fans do, run it up through the ceiling if you want, or just add them onesie-twosies.

Personally, I don't want a case feeder since my left hand works suitably well for that task.

Drew is absolutely correct; MBF is the best bullet collating system on the market, at least I think so.

Reading the title I thought "I'm perfectly capable of dropping my dies, I don't need help with that! Picking them up, maybe, but not dropping them".

Maybe that Bully (brand) outfit will make a part to fit the Lee bullet feeder thing-a-ma-bob on this "die dropper" (personally I would call it a bullet feed die but what do I know) like they do for the Hornady bullet feed die. Which I agree is a PIA and doesn't work very well. I have in 9mm along with said Bully adapter I'd let go really reasonable. (make offer )

I'd give you 1$ for it. Only because I can sell it on eBay for 10$
