    Today is pi day 3.14159265

    March 14th = pi 3.14

For all the nerds like me, I guess that this kinda stuff makes us smile.

Today is pi day. Two years ago it was March 14, 15 and we could extend the date and time into pi to seven or eight places.

The ancient Egyptians used 3 as Pi when measuring farmer's fields for tax purposes, no doubt the farmers were pleased with that.

...I know it has something to do with calculating the area of....not a square...oh yah...the area of a circle. How does one go about calculating the area of a series of circles?

I guess that I am not surprised this turned from the circumference of a circle to the volume of two half prolate spheroids.
