Might as well start off with the best. You did good. We welcome a range report.
    Best, Thomas.

I shot the firearm yesterday with federal target grade ammo in single and double action without a hiccup. Fun little shooter!

Nice gun. I love the Smith & Wesson 22lr revolvers. Hard to tell from the photos is it a J or a K frame?

OK I just bought my first 22 revolver not too long ago also. I know very little about them. Someone want to shed some light on this gun for me?

My first encounter with a K22 was as a teenager and our pastor took a group of boys fishing on a ranch lake. He shot his pistol a bit (newly acquired) and I was totally unimpressed with his shooting ability. I don't think it was the gun's fault.

If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for it? I had a 617 6" in the late 90s, regret to this day selling it. I just can not see paying what new 617s are going for knowing what I paid in the late 90s.

Back in 60s my dad and his buddy shot 22 pistols in buddy's basement. Dad shot a Ruger Single 6, his buddy a H&R 999. They shot for quarters, there was never any big winner, they were both
better than average pistol shots. I got a K22, after I shot it I told Dad he could have the Ruger SS
I told him that there was no comparison, so next basement match he used it. He cleaned his buddy's plow. When he came home that night he had buddies 999 in a paper bag, with instructions to trade it off and get his buddy a K22. Back then a lot of guys had a H&R, IJ, or
some imported Colt look alike. Not what you consider a serious pistol. The K22 amazed a lot of
guys. At the time a K22 was right under a $100, sound cheap? Would be about 3 days pay for
    the average guy back then.

Danger! Danger! That gun has a hole in the barrel--the bullets will come out. Better send it to me before you lose them.

But seriously folks, those are sweet guns. I have a stainless M-63 that I really like, but I would love to find a blue gun like yours.

One of these is on my short list. Right now all I own is an H&R 949 "Forty Niner" SA Cowboy revolver. It actually has a DA trigger also, but 15+ lb pull on that part.

So this would be a Model 43 Airweight am I right?
