    Lead colored powder coating?

Could y'all recommend a lead colored powder that gives good coverage? I saw a video of Eastwoods chrome but would like some other options. Pics if u got them would be great. Thanks

Just use semi-gloss clear. It gives me the best coverage of any of my powders. Gp

Prismatic Powders has a mind bending amount of colors to pick from, have a look. I have some that I git for the same reason, duplicate cast. I think the color is called silver plate or silver flake? Looks really nice but a clear will do the same. I have some but yet to try clear.

Ditto..Smoke's clear works great and is white colored until baked then turns clear.

A question, is there a clear like the bullets pictured that coats with one application? My black requires two coats to get 100%. I am running rifle bullets at around 2,500 fps with good results right now.

Smokes gloss clear all the way. If one coat doesn't cover, you are doing it wrong. Stuff goes on like powdered sugar and flows beautifully.

Smokes clear for me!!!! It looks great and one coat coverage. It'll do the trick! And they are slick as glass! I think you'll like it. Good luck!

I've got 5 lbs of Rosey's 200% clear Starburst and it works like a champ. Goes on easily, covers completely. I've started adding a very small amount of other colors and getting some great effects.

Rosey's has a silver metallic for $3.25 a pound. I've never used it though.

Not the best castings, the 45 had been coated with mold release of some sort, and left the casting rough. Pits in the lead looks like dark spots because the pc flows level.

This is clear gloss, if it wasn't for the light reflection you couldn't tell it was there. It is the thinnest of coatings because it has no pigment. Overall increase is .002" in diameter maximum. But I do tap them to get all the excess off so I won't have any skirts on them.
Another reason to tap the excess off is there is no buildup on the noses and the seater die will set to a constant COAL, that makes a big difference when you are setting the seater to hit a crimp groove.

This is what the clear gloss looks like when it comes out of the tumble method...like I said, I tap the casts to knock off all the excess PC.

+1 for Smokes clear gloss and i agree with a previous statement OS OK made about the light reflecting being the only way to tell by looking that it is coated. I have noticed another way to easily tell coated from not coated if the bases look like they are wet........coated!!! They also are super slick when coated.- CASTER

Another +1 on Smokes Clear. Received mine today and processed a small batch. Excellent coating on the 1st try and bakes on so clear its hard to know its there. Really awesome for those who want the traditional looking boolit. Labeling and organizing your clear powder coated boolits is vital to keep from getting them mixed up with non PC boolits.
