the Pack Rat Boolite Club , LOL that is just about explains it. As a buddy says it is going to be all like Gold If something happens. Can't shot gold, too hard to find.

Hope to get to the range once a week and we will (the girls and I) look and rebuild back stops. Sift out some of the dirt if dry enough. All in what the girls are up to doing as Daddy back is on vacation. At least I'm not ready to scream in pain, thank God that past.

I'm one of those that never feels I have enough. Always on lookout for more.

Right now price is big part of buying more

enjoy the casting, powder coating, loading and shooting about equally.

Hey, it's all fun till someone shoots an eye out

I'm probably around 1500lbs total and have begun selling some of my materials off. I have way more than I'll ever use. I recently discovered copper plated lead as well and LOVE them for handgun so I'm using even less lead from the pile now. Got rid or a lot of monotype and have started unloading some 95%+ pewter in ingot form.

Also about 1500 lbs, however I refused to sell any just this last week. Between this and what I pick off the pistol berm of our outdoor range should keep me going for life.

4700 pounds. At 75 I only shoot 1 or 2 times a week. Hope I live long enough to shoot it all.

Well, I feel so much better after reading this thread, and knowing I am not the only one with this affliction. I had to make myself stop acquiring supplies. I built a spreadsheet to keep up with my inventory, and a quick calculation "told" me that it's time to start shooting... daily. Even if I could shoot daily, there will still be plenty left over for about 2 generations. I am proud to admit I'm one of the "club."

It's a crazy sickness. I clearly have more than I will ever hope to use yet it's all I can do to not add more. Is there something alluring about the metal alone? I can just sort of look at the pile and take a sense of satisfaction from it.

Couple hundred pounds in ingots. Pick up 60ish pounds every month or so off Evilbay of range scrap. Not the hardest stuff but works great for 45 and 9.When I feel I'm getting low i just open up a ammo can and remelt the bullets into ingots. Got a couple calibers I don't shoot much but cast alot for. Great practice, keep all the perfect ones, bulk box the ok ones, and gives me something to do saturday mornings before the house comes alive.

I was in the lead war for awhile wws from the tire shops flashing from the roofing guys more from the plumper and mining the berms. I got tired up with a friend making shot and used up a lot of my stash but did make enough coin to buy some new toys that eat lead. I thought I was running low then I sat down and really looked at what I did have on hand. I have more loaded ammo then I will ever shoot in some others its just a matter of putting all the parts together. I shoot a lot in the back yard into my own berm so that lead is not really lost just waiting to be mined I keep a metal pail at the berm and when I am putting up new targets anything laying on the ground gets tossed in the bucket. So I think between me and my boys were good for a very long time. I still pick up lead here and there but I am not searching for it just what I happen to come across I pick up. Funny thing is it did not matter to me when I had around 6 tons I still pick up the single WW laying in a parking lot lol and still do odds are there is a few in the floor board of the truck.
