I went back 20 pages in this forum looking for threads on this. I did find out that the 30-30 fouled quicker than most because of the fast twist rate.
So my question now is what about the 35 Rem. Will the rimless cartridge seal ok?
Marlin's website said it is 1 in 16 twist so that should be ok. It is also almost a strait cartridge so it should be better than most bottlenecks.
I guess the only thing I see right now is the sealing issue.
For those who ask WHY. I started loading BP in my 45-70 and 38--55 about a year ago (thanks to this forum) and I just plain ol like shootin it.
It is not a must to shoot BP in the 35, I just got the thought in my head and had to ask.
