Looking for info on a bullet mould

I vaguely remember a bullet mould in 45 cal called a stake buster was basically a short range bullet similar to a wad cutter. I believe it was listed by Shiloh in the 80s or 90s. Any of you gentleman have one or bullets from one? I cant find any listing now for one at any of the manufacturers

I remember Sam Fadala writing about using one in I believe a 58 cal. muzzleloader. Boy, that was a long time ago and I'm sorry I can't remember from whom or where he got it. I think I remember what book the article is in. Give me a day or two and I'll try to find it.

What I'm thinking is something in the 425-450 grn range with most of the bullet in the case for short line work (100-200 yds). The deep seated bullet would eat up a lot of powder capacity in the case allowing for a lowered powder charge with out wad stacks or fillers. I vaugley remember seeing this bullet mould in their catalogue but don't remember the specifics of it anymore. It caught my eye back then but I didn't get one.

stake cutter that I know of was for .58 muzzle loaders. mainly n-ssa. where they have a timed competition where they cut a stake in half. they are full caliber flat nose. some if their bullets are tight in the bore turn them backwards so that big open hits the stake like a big hollow point.

All we ever did was run a 9/16" drill bit down the sprue hole of the conical Lyman .58 cal. #575494
https://www.midwayusa.com/product/56...eter-315-grain wadcutter and load with 40 grains of 3Fg. Accurate target bullet and effective for hunting too!

In .45 Cal. you can use a 7/16" drill to do the same thing to a standard Maxi-Ball mold
