    10mm Gas checks

Well I did some searching for gas checks for my Accurate 200 Grain 10mm boolit. Some great advice but I like to keep things simple. So Imordered some Hornady .416 gas checks and sized the boolits with these and they worked out perfect. They seated even and symmetrical. So now I can get the rest sized lubed and GC crimped on and load up some 200 RFN GC hard cast for my numerous 10mm guns.

I have a plain base check maker for my 41mag. I just used some on my 10mm boolits when I was working up 10mm loads. I don't have any gas check 10mm molds.

The 40/41 cal Gator checks from the NOE site have been working ptetty well too. It is good to know that the HDY checks work, for another option. I use the NOE pass through sizer to seat them before powder coating.

So happy to see these posts, as I have been frustrated in not finding gas checks for my .38/40 and 10mm boolits. My searches vis Hornady site show them for .375", and then jump to .416" -- the latter you (Ramjet-SS) use. My normal procedure is to use my Lyman 450 -- with little seating gizmo on it -- to seat the gas checks. Is this what you do? I do not powder coat -- using plain-Jane lubs either in the Lyman 450 or my Stars. Kindly let me know?
