Uniflow with Lee Classic Cast turret.

Getting ready to purchase the Lee Classic cast turret. I am curious if my Uniflow powder measure will work or will I need modifications or a different powder measure?
One of my concerns is the Uniflow is kinda heavy and will it be hard on the rotating tool head?

I should have been more specific. I plan on decapping,resizing and priming on my single stage and then move over to the turret for the remaining steps in the process. I was hoping to be able to screw the Uniflow directly into the tool head. Is that possible?

The threading should be fine. The issue is wheather there is enough adjustability in the available threads to align the drop tube with the top of the case. There would be two operations. One to raise the ram. The other to actuate the powder dispenser. Better would be to get the case activated linkage and powder die. RCBS, or Hornady's should work. So much easier to dump unused powder from the hopper. One thumb screw, and the who thing comes right out so you can dump the powder. I have the case actuated setup, and it is easy to setup and adjust for different cartridges.

Just looked up the price of the Uniflow case activation linkage...Wow kinda spendy. If I go with a case activated measure I will go with a Lee measure and keep my Uniflow for other applications.

This is the best idea.I have use the RCBS on my Classic turret but the Lee auto drum measure works better.

Yes, the Auto Drum is the only way to go.

I have two Lee Classic Turrets. Was hoping to use the newest Lee powder dispenser on a turret. I bought one and it fits but there is no way to make it work with the press for auto dispensing powder. What does work is swapping the adjustable brass drum that comes with the Lee Classic powder dispenser with the plastic drum that comes with the Lee Auto Drum. You can buy the drum separately at Factory Sales if you so desire.

You can save some coin by using the kit made by Hornady.Same thing as far as I know. I use it with a uniflow on an RCBS Piggyback set up.

I use the ole Pacific pistol powder measure on 38's and another on 357's, and a RCBS Little Dandy on 9 mm. You will need a 7/8"-14 x 5/8"-18 threaded adapter to do what you want. I mount mine on the Lee expander, through the die powder drop die. To operate, you raise the hull to expand it and drop the powder manually. It is slower than using a case actuated powder drop, but it works for me.




I think someone sells the threaded adapter, I made up a sketch and a guy made me a couple. I need two more.

Lee autodrum $29.99 at Midsouth. Mine works great. Probably cheaper than a custom adapter.

I ended up getting the Auto Disk powder measure. We will see how that works out.

Clean it by running hot water over the internal mechanism to remove any residual oils.
