    X-Sight2 5x20 Ruger 300 Blkout 200 yds at night

Ok so here is the setup
    this is 3 days of working with a Ruger 300 Blackout , X Sight 5 x 20 Night Vision and a NOE 311247 HP
the rds are 49/49/2 Alloy plain base Powdercoated Jet Black and sized to .311

3 nights ago I had zeroed the sight at 50 yds and shot 50yds , 75yds both dead on. Then 150yds.. it was about an inch high
then for kicks fired 2 rds at 200 .. TOP two hits right of center and shoulder area Not bad I thought

2 days ago they released new update for the software . I did the update and started over
zeroed at 50 yds , then 2 shots at 50 and 1 at 75 both dead on
then switched to 200 yds and holy cow 2 shots nearly perfect

Keep in mind this was after dark and 200 yds

Picture of Target was taken this morning

that's a lot of tin and antimony 49/49/2.
might as well leave the lead out at that point.

I was wondering about that too, is that 49% COWW/49% pure lead/2% tin?

I just purchased that same rifle last week to test this very type thing and was working up load ideas and saw your thread. I have some questions. That is a .311 drive band mold and after PC it would be even fatter, so how did you size to fit the .309 throat or did you just jam it? If you loaded the boolit at the crimp grove your COAL should have been ok but your drive band way too big. You did achieve a very nice bore rider interface but did you size the nose like in Bama's long range thread? Did you put gas check on before PC and flatten it like Bama? If you loaded the boolit deep so the crimp is at the end of the front drive band that would be happy for the throat but your bore rider length would be very short.

I use helmet mounted PVS-14 and IR laser at night saves on your neck, grip pod takes the load off your shoulder and makes pointing easier as well.
But then you hit the plate and whatever works for you works. Good stuff.

the Rugers have a bit more generous throat than that.
I can get them to chamber LC brass with 310 sized boolits and there is still some slop in there.
I can barely chamber [with difficulty] 308 jacketed stuff in LC brass in my AAC.

and I have played with a third 300 with a different idea of chamber and throat diameters.

I don't think going by saami pictures is a good idea with this caliber.

If they don't go by the standards how do you know what your a buying?

Update: Contacted Ruger and this is the response I got from their customer service:

    Good morning
All of our chambers are made to SAAMI specifications. Thank you for your e-mail.

Comment to go with update: Since Henry Ford production has been based on standards for repeatability and interchangeability, that's why SAAMI exists

No gas check, Plain Base Mold , Pc, then size to 311 .. No nose sizing
    No issue closing the bolt

It shoots well and works for me ..

I shoot the exact same rd loaded exactly the same way in a Noveski 300 blkout AR and its also extremely accurate

tomorrow I will cycle a couple and measure the driving band after chambering
