    Pictures of . . . 'Pot Drip-Art'

About a month ago I had the 20# Lee Pot dripping pretty regularly...I kept twisting on the valve screw but to no avail, I think I had foreign matter in that batch of lead.
Anyway, my pot made the most interesting little statue of drip art I ever saw...right as I slipped it into the pot I had the thought of starting a thread with 'Pot Drip-Art' pictures. I know they happen all the time and I wonder if any of you have taken a picture of one...

Might be an interesting bunch of pictures to look at...I dunnoh but here goes.

    Post-Em if ya Got-Em...thanks charlie

for more reading on the subject....
do a quick search on drip art, we had a thread on this some years back and a bunch of pictures got posted.
I can't remember if the ant hill pics were in that thread or posted in a separate thread but they were pretty cool too.

I've seen the ant hill castings, pretty cool. Saw one that went 30' or better. . . . casting ant hills beds

I've also seen lightning strikes induced on beaches, I guess it turns the sand to glass or something similar. . . lightning strikes sand art

So...bottom line here is that we have our own art form...only problem is that I suppose they all end up back in the casting pot and end up as boolits!

One thing is for sure; no two are alike. I have occasionally saved a couple of pieces of drip art; then I get to thinking about how many boolits are in that glob and back in the pot they go.

I got quite a few, but these two are kind of neat
Swaging. Keeping the 40's running for the price of .22's
and .223 bullets for a fraction of a cent!

Here's my submission, a Christmas tree that reached all the way to the spout of my cooling Lee 20 Lb'er. Even has a woman trimming it near the bottom, you can see her bent over with her arms on the branches.

I supposed they require a pot the drips...fortunately, that is foreign, to me.

I cast some today with a Buddy that has a Lee pot. I commented on his drip art and he laughed, having never heard that before.

I am fortunate to have the same problem. My Lee pots do not drip. The solution is simple; never empty it & never put anything but clean alloy in it.
