I have to chuckle how many times I make the same mistake...
After making a bunch of light weight Herco loads to test in my SBH Hunter, I finally got around to making some test loads using AA#9 since I ran into an 8 lb jug I couldn't refuse.
Man, I was having fits trying to get it to meter well...and I was fit to be tied when I finally realized that I changed from the large powder bar to the small powder bar about a year ago when I wanted to set up for the Herco loads.
After about a day of fussing, I finally remembered that I use the large powder bar for 2400, and while the small powder bar will work for 2400 also...such is not the case for AA#9
After swapping the powder bars, it took all of 5 minutes to get +-.1 grain and I could finally make up decent test loads.
My pet load for 255 429244 is 18.3 gr 2400...anyone want to take a guess what will work best for AA#9? I loaded up 18.5, 19.0, and 19.5 to start.
