    Just rediscovered!

Well I was looking for a mould for a friend to make him some 230Gr Rn 45acp bullets.

I was looking thru My Bullet making cabinet for the mould & I found my old Corbin swaging press!

I thought Now that's where I put it I must be getting old to forget where I put it about 15 years ago.

Had to go to google to figure out which press that I have, I think I bought it 1989/1990.

I know that its a discontinued Sliver press that uses "M" style dies, My question is will the "S" style dies work in the Silver press?

    Thanks!

    Howard

If Phineas is correct, and I am mistaken, I believe that Corbin will make a new top that will accommodate your die of choice.

Call Dave. I lot of the time he will answer the phone at his shop. I actually got a call from him yesterday about the die I sent back. Seems he couldn't find me in his computer. Had to tell him I bought the die used.

From the OP's description I think this is the press he rediscovered.

I have no idea what the lead time is for a full set of dies. But I just got an email this morning that the replacement for the die I broke is on it's way. Less then a week. This was just a die body but had to be fitted to the punches I have. This was also a "S" die not a "M".

This is an area that Corbin is not clear on, what dies fits what press?
The press illustrated is different from the bronze press that has a bridge across the top, but whether bronze press or silver press do they take the same type of dies or no? And if so, are they "M" dies or "S" dies?

Here is a picture of my press. It is the "S" press and takes the "S" dies.

As far as I see, all horizontal presses take the M dies, and the vertical presses (series 2 or S) will take either M or S dies. There were several models of horizontal presses (physical configurations) but they all took the M dies.
