    Ticks on a bird dog

The areas of Pennsylvania where I hunt are loaded with ticks. My dogs have been diagnosed with Lyme disease. Fortunately, the dogs were successfully treated with antibiotics. I use Sawyers Permethrin for treatment on my clothing with great results. No tick bites on me and rarely do I have a tick on my clothing. My question, has anyone used this or other treatments on a dog vest?

I use the Sawyer product also, with good results. It couldn't hurt on a dog's hunting vest, as long as it is completely dry, as per instructions. Wouldn't be as effective, since the vest doesn't cover all the exposed areas of a dog.
