    Who sells black powder

I lost my supplier who was near Scranton, PA and I'm looking for a new one. I've looked in a 30 mile radius from my house in south East NY with no luck. So, who in Central or South Central or East Central NY sells BP? The search could include Western CT and North East PA? Further than that and I'd mail order for about the same cost. No Prius at this house.

I get together with friends and buy in bulk at 'local' BP shoots. Much of mine comes from Friendship....actually, these days, it all does. I've yet to find a local supplier...

Back Creek Gun Shop in Winchester Va. is a GEOX distributor for black powder.
He also carries RWS musket caps. Call in the evenings as he works another job.

HOLY MACKERAL.....Boy did black powder go up in price and shipping!!!!! $146 for 5 lbs, $230 for 10lbs That's with $56 for shipping and Haz Mat. Who's making the money? UPS of course.
I'm going looking for more people to share an order.

I go to Graf for my powder orders. They have a house brand, and several popular.

if you can't find real bp locally, gotta go mail order and buy at least 25# to bring the cost down a bunch. friends, club members, range buds - all can chip in and get their share. i use crater fireworks

Grafs would run you around 100 for 5 pounds shipped and they will ship primers and smokless on the same order not everybody will do that
between not paying local sales tax and gas running all over it chips away at shipping charges

BuffaloArms.com (It's closest to us on the Left coast)

Our damned lefty politicians in WA state have tied powder sellers' hands behind their backs with laws. As a seller of BP in this state I am told... you can no longer keep more than 50LBs on hand in a store. We're forced to pay the outrageous hazard fees because inventory is so low.

I get it here, about 30-40 minutes from my house. Not sure on there shipping? I know they have LOTS N LOTS of powder, they do not carry any substitutes, Buffalo Arms does not carry primers either

+1 to Grafs. The last batch I bought was their house brand. It was reasonably priced compared to others and shoots well.

We're planning to swing by and load up about 10 lbs worth on our trip to CO/MT this summer. Diverting to Buffalo Arms on our return to WA state so I can avoid the shipping! I'll store it in the roof top carrier to be on the safe side, in a cooler with frozen blocks of gel.

King's Shooters Supply is closer to you than Chambersburg. During the Great Powder Famine I was able to score a few times there, drop them a line and see if they can help.
