Hercules Herco load data

I think you are safe to use old Hercules powder with Alliant current data for Herco. If you shoot cast in the 30-06, 357 mag or load slugs you are doing fine. Winchester thought this speed of powder was useful enough to bring out WSF, I've used both in cast rifle loads and slug loads, really close performance at these levels.

Anybody that leaves Herco on the shelf in the midst of a powder panic knows little about its high value. If you are a shotgunner like me it is better for 12/20 gauge reloading than Unique which made it a must have powder for shortages. If I pick one it is Herco. Friendlier to the larger pistol calibers but in a pinch works well in small cases with some extra aggravation. Not for small caliber high volume production.

Feel sorry for the unknowing but be sure to exploit them when this happens again!
