I mostly used youtube. Cooncreekoutdoors is my go to for learning how to go from skinning to putting them on boards. He does real good going step by srep and explaining it.

Deerskins into Buckskins is one of the best books I know, and yes there is a video you can buy to go with it if you should decide to. I never bought the video, the book is great.

Hands on experience! Flat out no other way. Now, if you are looking for the 'correct' way that the big fur houses would like it put up then Cooncreekoutdoors does it the way NAFA would like it done. I have watched the way he puts up his fur and it resembles how I was taught to do it correctly.

Pick up those road kills and have at it. That is the best way to learn with no money lost if you make a mistake. Skinning and fleshing will come natural after a couple thousand furbearers. Once you can do a female possum without a tear and a 3 day old hot dead coyote without heaving your guts you can do it all. Then do a skunk that's been hit by a semi. No book or you tube vid will teach you this.

Also if there is fur buyer you will deal with ask them to show you how to put them up.Like 472x1B/A stated also. Hands on is the best .Also if there is any fur demo's that you able to show up to will help you also.NAFA dose put out a booklet on the pattern of boards but also tall you how to board the pelts also.
