    Hornady one shot?

Has anyone ever tried one shot for sizing bullets?

I ask because I'm using 45 45 10 lube. I am notoriously lazy as well and I like to combine as many steps of the loading process as I can into single operations, especially the annoying ones. I don't really want to lube, size, then lube again.

One shot does not contaminate powder. I was thinking of treating my Lee sizer with it and running the boolits into it dry. Has anyone ever tried this? How well did it work?

I have in the past taken 50 to 100 bullets in a box and spray one shot on them shaken a little to distribute the lube then sized down powder coated bullets from 462 down to 454 .. Worked just fine .. Also do this first time using any new sizing die

Always use One Shot to size down PC'd bullets. I use Smoke4320's powders exclusively and have never had any problems.

Yes, on Powder Coated and Hi-Tek coated. A tiny bit is all you need.

Anybody used One Shot on boolits as a lubricant like liquid Alox?

I use "one shot lube" on all the cast bullet sizing in my star. Just spread out bullets and give it just a little dusting, makes a very noticeable difference, don't need much as the residual lube will stay in die for the ones not hit with the 'one shot'.

Used one Shot and the Dillon Spray on bullets to size...works fine...need to let it dry or it is worse than none.

How about using One Shot as a lube for shooting?
.45 200 gr. semi wadcutter. 4.00 grs. Bullseye.

I gave up One Shot after the first can. I now make a mixture of 1 part lanolin to 12 parts 90% or better denatured alcohol.
Cheap and have the same effect. It's case lube, it's bullet lube for sizing.
A little bit goes a long way.

Hornady makes a case lube & an extreme and regular gun cleaner/lube combo which are made for different applications.

I would not use any of them as a bullet lube

The only stuck cases I ever had, were the results of "One Shot Lube".
    Information not shared. is wasted.

Me too. I spray it on pistol cases going into a carbide die, but it is worthless on rifle cases.

One Shot is the ONLY sizing lube I have used for the last twenty years for all calibers, rifle and pistol. If your cases are sticking in your sizing die, it is NOT the fault of the lube.

One Shot is the only way to go for us progressive press folks. But you gotta let it dry before using or you can stick a case (yes I learned this the hard way). And it doesn't take very long to dry, but it isn't instantaneous!

I know I have used it on 50K plus bottle neck cases without any issues. Tried it this weekend for bullet sizing and it did significantly reduce effort.

I lightly spray my Tumble lube cast bullets with the lanolin/alcohol mix to ease sizing through my Star prior to tumble lubing. Noticeably easier to size that way and saves an additional TL step.

All of the alcohol/lanolin based lubes will (WILL!) stick a case if they aren't allowed to dry long enough. I'll have to try spray lube on boolits going through my Star next time I size. Sounds like it would speed production up, like around 10% since I run about every 10th boolit back through.

If bullets are too tight when sizing, I lightly spray with WD-40. For powder coat, .313 to .311 sizing does not need lube if properly coated.

When processing lots of 223 and 30-06 cases one shot case lube is all I use and never had a problem unless I get to much on the cases .
