    Star Top Identifcation?

Is there anyway to identify Star top punches?
What bullet are they cut for?
I'm talking about the ones that are setup for base sizing first.

6 years ago, when I bought my Star (used, original owner bought it new in 1980s), I got a fist full of nose profile top punches. No markings on any of them. All the Dies had Star's electric pencil writting on them, So I am pretty sure I got all Star manufactured items with it. So, trial and error would probably be the only way to figure it out, if it's not obvious by looking at them.

you can kinda guess by sticking them in a size die.
    358-357/38sp.
    430-44 mag.
flat, round, swc, about as good as I can guess.

You can have Lathesmith, a Vendor on this site, make you a flat base punch and you can size nose first.. Fastest and easiest way I know to use a Star sizer, been doing it that way for 40+ years.

Okay, so there just a little mystery item.
I will not bother with them unless I buy them will a special mould from Magma.
I already have 3 flat punches.

There may be a nose punch for a button nose hollow base wadcutter. I got one of those when I bought my San Diego Star. I've never used it. Only the flat or dished punches against the boolit base.
