    Mixed epoxy and urethane powders

Some time ago I tried Harbor Freight white and it didn't shake-n-bake very good for me. Today I tried some urethane matte black powder in some 2'' black plastic pipe like the '4'' PVC Pipe Thread' but I think mine was ABS and it was a nogo. I still had the rubber maid bowl with HF white ready to shake so I dumped the boolits from the pipe with the black urethane powder into the bowl with HF white. HF white is epoxy based and the matte black is urethane based. It was about 3 parts HF white and one part black.

It coated light grey and cured dark grey and had a nice even flow over the boolit during the bake. It even flowed over the bare spots. I just thought I'd post this because it seemed different and had decent results.Click image for larger version.

I tried a quick group with the GP 100 yesterday, 358429 water dropped COWW 14.6/296 mag primer. Barely fits the cylinder but shooting from a clean barrel and standing two handed the group settled in the middle of the target.

The coating is less than a .001 per side.

I wouldn't argue over those results...they have a great color too. I'll bet they look good loaded into shiny brass. Got any pic's?

Here is a picture of some loaded bullets. I got lucky with that GP100 it has nice throats and doesn't have trouble with leading.
Thickness of the coat does not seem to be as thick as a normal powder coating I can still get gas checks on those 44 - 300 semi wad-cutters that are in the earlier picture.

Those look just fine, like a regular box-O-lead bullets. I like the looks of that GP100, don't have one but it sure looks well balanced.

Without distance to target, groups size is kinda pointless, just sayin. Your bullets look great though.

Oh about 3 feet, any closer and the target gets marked up LOL.

It was about 18-20 paces, that orange dot isn't very big and got harder to see once the holes got close to it. The two on the left were the fist two shots on a clean barrel and I made more of that load now too. Can't say much over just one target but I think its keeper load or worth trying more of.
