    Yes, the pins need to be loose. They should fall freely under their own weight. This may take a turn or two. Each pin will be different so loosen them until they fall freely. And as noted above make sure you're screwing the stems into the correct side of the pins.

    Yes that is correct. Let them find their own seated position.

    I didn't think about Falling freely. I'll have to do that.
