Swiss K31 and GP 11 ammo

    Hello,
I have GP11 ammo dated 78, 79 and 82. I have seen pictures of GP11 dated 84. Has anyone imported GP11 with later dates ?
Is there any real difference in the quality or accuracy of the various dates ? Just curious. I'm sure my shooting skills are not good enough to tell the difference !!

Considering ordering some more GP11 from Midway. Used to get it from Grafs, but I don't think they have any at this time. Any other dealers currently supplying GP 11 ?

    Thanks to all.

All I know is that I couldn't match GP11 accuracy in two K31s with my carefully crafted hand loads. Pretty humbling experience. Best, Thomas.

Yeah, that GP11 is the best I've ever run across.

They quit the wax ring around '82 & I've specifically seeked out mostly pre '82 ammo. I'm up to 14 cases & change incase supply gets choked off again. I don't ever plan on running out..

Whether or not it makes a difference, I dunno but having the little pinch of wax lubricating the steel jacketed bullet hurdling down the barrel at 2,600 fps makes me feel better.

As far as bettering GP11, it can be done. Brass prep is key for consistancy. My best load to date is:

    Norma brass neck sized, 2.180"
    CCI #200
    52gr IMR 4320
    131gr Mk319 mod0 SOST pulls, 2.920"

Shoots sub MOA consistantly. Velocity is 3,090 fps... Expansion is violent to say the least.
I collect exotic ammo, if you have something interesting let me know.
