    Thinking out loud, wonder how the Lee 230 gr. bullet made for the 300BLK would work ?

    That would be fun to try. The 1-10" twist of the Krag should easily stabilize the rather long (1.363") projectile. The Krag case certainly has enough room for a powder charge to get it going to at least 1,800 fps with a fairly slow powder.

    I do have a 311291 mold ? and the Lee 160 gr made for the SKS

    Have two Krag sporters in the family, one prefers the 311291, the other the 311284. Just got a Ruger #3 in 30/40 AI and still forming brass but it shows a lot of promise even with the 311284 and 12.5 grs of Blue Dot I am using as a fire forming load-. Per the re-chamber to AI suggestion, only negative is loss of neck length, on mine neck is only about as long as on a 308 Win.
