Very Cool indeed - now you need to find a bayonet for it.

Funny thing about those was they were the most produced in that caliber, yet are the hardest to find.
You can miss fast & you can miss a lot, but only hits count.

    Not too many came back...

By the early 1920s, all Civillian owned Guns were being confiscated and lots of people slathered their Guns in Axle Grease or Pig Fat or whatever, wrapped them like a Mummy and hid them well...once those same people and their families were killed, usually no one knew where their Guns were hidden.

Still lots of old Guns hidden in the early 1920s buried over there...now and then some turn up.

It was one bad scene going on...vastly worse than our schools or libraries will ever tell of.

Wow! Great find! I have had the hots for a Russian contract 1895 for some time. I'm a big fan of the 54R and lever guns so this is a great combo! Those were very well liked guns among the men that served with them and thus were usually heavily worn from battle and the elements. Really cool war piece you have there!

I wouldn't want to face an Army equipped with them. I would love to own one.

I think it is a great find to get one of those. I wanted one myself too. When I was a kid, the babysitter's husband showed me his 1895 Win rifle chambered in 7.62x54R. I was in awe at the time too. But he passed it on to his own grown children though. So no luck for me.

You are right. The Communists in our academia don't like to tell the truth about the history of Communist/Socialist states. It will be great if it is only done the way they want to do it. Forget about all the mass graves.......you need to break a few eggs....
