I wonder what this leadcaster87 has invested in these A.S. molds.
If someone chooses to buy a mold that works well and cost less what does it matter to him. Besides as far as I know lyman were the first to make the pellet slug so his A.S. mold is just a copycat of lyman
I went and checked my Russian slug molds and printed on the side is “A.S Company”. I think he just overpaid for one on eBay.

I have Svarog Mold Zveroboy. It is very reliable and high performance tool.
I think, that Leadcaster87 or his friend sells on ebey these molds.
"Guy in Canada with them but the molds ship from Russia"
    Handling time 30 business days.
But now Svarog sells on eBay.

ship from Russia,Handling time 3 business days, the price is cheaper.
I think the guy lost a sale
    And so shouts
    "Please stop buying svarog"

Is it just me or did these molds have a 50% increase in the last couple of months? I swear when I looked at them this summer they were all around $55?????

I watched some of the Youtube videos. I guess Russians can have fun too.

    Hi guys.
I have a AS mold (Lyman slug 30 and 32g). It's really a great tool. Choosing between Svarog and the AS - I chose the AS, because us Russian hunting forums are recommended by the AS.
I did not regret the choice.

Now I was looking for gualandi / gualbo mold, and found this discussion.

I am from Russia, but I do not have a relationship with the manufacturer of AS molds

Google translate will shine a light on most of those Cyrillic riddles. A few qualified guesses are still necessary, though.

I tried Google translate this morning and it failed. I am using an out of date Verizon tablet so that might be the problem.

I use google translate, but it does nothing for context. Lol!

Terms are a little different, too. Slug molds are bullet forms (I get that), but those special tail wads translate to “watering cans”.

I shot some of the 10 gauge version of the Lyman sabot slug in my 28" barrel Parker 10 gauge today with rather acceptable groups at 25 yards . I've gotten two of these peoples molds the first being the version of the Lyman Sabot for the 16 gauge and the 10 gauge mentioned above . They've both shot very nicely in 100 year old smoothbore double barrels of AMERICAN manufacture .

I am really interested in a slug mold. I fear the FBI might investigate me for collusion with Russia though! Anyway, do we have it narrowed down to the best segmented Russian mold offering as far as quality, price, etc?

I did finally order and receive my slug mold. I heard that casting the fragmenting slugs was a hassle but other than having to crank the heat up to about 770 degrees I didn't have a problem at all casting with pure lead. My initial testing using Lyman 525 grain load data is looking good so far. I'll have to load up another batch to test correctly though. I had to drift the front sight on my Winchester and after 3 shots it fell off! I put it back on and raised the rear site to bring the POI up at 50 yards but the groups looked like they would have bee excellent. Using Fiocchi hulls, BPI bush wad, 1/8 nitro cards, and Longshot. The best(?) group with falling off front sight chrony'd at 1480 fps average. That was using 34g of Longshot and the Lyman data suggested 37g. I'll try that load again after giving the dovetail a little whack to tighten it up but I'll probably go a bit lower with the powder charges too. I'll shoot 100 easy for just the beginning tests. Glad O have a bunch of lead and Longshot! Once I do come up with teh best loads I'll start a new topic with data and photos of the targets. Looks like it will be a great mold and I will have to check out the others for my smooth bore only shotgun fetish.......

These are advertised on the Reloaders Network. Video poster “FortuneCookie45lc” has put up some vids discussing them. I think others have as well. Molds are also offered and discussed. I have no affiliation with the sight, wads or slugs. Just found the info interesting and thought I’d pass it along.
