Before you give up on PC try a pound of smokes powder, it's all proven to work.

    There ya go!

I shook the pipe and boolits for about 30 seconds. There are some marks on the nose where I used tweezers to pick up the boolits.

Looks like it is working forya. This PC thing just keeps on morphing with every new approach...

If you pour them in a pan and give it a back and forth push they will roll around in the PC and repair any poor coverage and you can pick them up easier by the grease grooves...those angled tweezers lock right into the narrow little grooves.

So you're shaking the pipe? I thought you were using the harbor freight tumbler, and letting them rotate.

I don't know if this has been suggested...but check a local plumbing shop and see if they have any waste that came from a repair job. Might be able to pick it up cheap.

Over the years I've found some of the big box stores has odds and ends around that can be had for almost nothing.

Can you use the container to rub the cat with? I'm sure the wife would try to use it on me. What about rubbing the container on some cheap carpet to generate extra static?

I dump the coated bullets into a colander with holes big enough for the bb's to go through (make sure you have a container under it with sides to catch the BB's other wise things get interesting.... no fun picking bb's off the floor, what makes things worse is the bb's leave a bb sized powder spot on the floor when they hit and you spend half your time trying to pick up powder spots)
by the time the bb's have been "sifted through you have also gotten rid of the excess powder. at this point if you see a bare spots just sprinkle powder over the boolits while sifting and cover all the bare spots.
Now I just dump them into my bake screen / tray and bake them -- the few minor cosmetic blemishes from bullets toughing don't bother me or affect accuracy OR you can pick the perfectly coated bullets out with tweezers and get a tray of pristine beauties.

Went to Wally World and did not find the caps you have. Do you have a part number for them?

You're not going to find them at Walmart. Try Home Despot, Lowe's, ACE. Any test cap will work.

    cat's are self cleaning.
if you want thorough and a rinse.
    here are the better instructions.
open the door to go outside.
    leave the bathroom door open.
make sure nobody is between the first and second door.
put pet shampoo in the toilet bowl.
drop the cat in while simultaneously closing the lid and, and holding it down.
putting your foot on it only works if you don't mind getting your other foot wet.
I recommend putting both hands firmly on the lid and standing with your feet away from the bowl.
give it 15-20 seconds and apply the rinse cycle.
    now to dry the cat.
    never mind a towel.
make sure no one has close either door A or door B and that no one is between them by hollering.
then stand clear to the side of the lid [away from door A] and open it.
calmly walk to door B. and close it.
reverse the order of the last step in 4-6 hours and one clean dry cat will appear.

I never tried steam cleaning a cat.
we steam cleaned a rat once at the oil recycling facility I worked at about 30 years ago.

Was talking to someone at work that builds irrigation systems as a side job. He claims you can buy different types of end caps for pvc and most any place that sells irrigation supplies. Will get buy after work on Wednesday.
