    Star Lube Piston Removal Tool

I need to remove the piston from the lube reservoir, which is air powered from one of Kyle's kits. The problem I have is using the factory threaded rod to pull the piston back out, where the pistol is so low the top of the rod is just below the top of the reservoir tube and impossible to pull out. Thought I saw somewhere that an eye-bolt could be used with a couple to pull it out. Does anyone have the info on doing this (size of bolt & thread)? Or another recommendation?

Ran into the same issue. Jury rigged a tee handle from some scrap aluminum tubing, a couple of bolts and a 5/16 x 18 threaded rod coupling. Eye-bolt would work with another bolt or screwdriver for the handle.

take the cap off that should get you a thread or so in the plunger.

Unfortunately, the original plunger just reaches the top of the threads in the plunger and the top was sitting flush with the top of the reservoir with no way to get ahold of it. Stop into Lowes today looking for a 5/16" x 6" eyebolt, but the longest 5/16 they had was 5". So picked up a 6" section of 5/16" rod and a two pack of 5/16" nut couplers. Threaded the nut coupler onto the end of the 5/16" rod and screwed onto the top of the plunger. Then I used the original plunger onto the threaded rod and pulled it out.
