My goal is to offer this complete kit at an affordable price less then that of any other die set on the market that makes 22 cal bullets from 22lr brass.

At the moment in regard to material cost and labor I am achieving this goal.

Keep posted to the vendor sponsor link for price, pics and updates.

Been pretty busy getting these dies off to Nitride haven't got back to the accuracy question.

These BTSimple dies where machined fromteh same quality steel using the same reamers that I use to machine my premium BTSniper dies. I have had very good accuracy results from bullets made in those dies and expect same potential from bullets made from the BTSimple line of dies.

Here is a pic of the accuracy I was able to obtain from bullets made in the last set of dies I made for a customer. These bullets had a .078 meplat where as the BTSimple line has a .092 but I still predict if ones uses a quality barrel and reloading components and practices with a bit of load development ...... well we all know there is a lot of factors involved but I see no reason they shouldn't shoot as well as most commercial bullets of same design.

100 yrds, 5 shot group! That is a reinforcement sticker for typical 3 ring sheet of paper with 4 shots threw the center!

Shot threw quality Criterion 12 twist 223rem barrel at over 3400 fps!

Over half of this first run of BTSimple dies are spoken for, still have some available. I expect them back from Nitride in two weeks with first orders shipping by end of month.

    Good shooting and swage on!

got a batch of 22lr all cleaned and waiting for mine to arrive, smelted a bunch of water line and soww's so I would have plenty of core material, going to be a long 2 weeks.

I guess that some folks idea of "affordable" is very different then mine.

True. It's not for everyone, but I bet a lot of us have a gun or two in the safe that costs more then these dies and probably gets used less.

I suppose affordable and valuable may be two different terms but should the day come again when ammo is scarce the value becomes much more apparent.

These dies are still priced lower then others of same quality, I considered that to be a more "affordable" option.

    Good shooting and swage on.

I suppose I was comparing them to my $1200 premium line of 22 cal dies that many have purchased, in this case $650 would seem considerably more affordable to me.

    No problem though

I'll continue in my attempts to provide value, quality and affordability the best I can in all the products I offer.

I suppose I should have posted them as "less expensive" I guess oh well. It is just an online thread title, the dies will certainly be good, that's what counts.

at 650$ that's not a whole lot more than I have paid for a single point form die before.

It is amazing how my attitude has changed over the last couple of years in regards to swaging. When I first got into it I thought it was an expensive exercise to get into, and maybe it was, but I wanted to do it. Now I do not think I could buy a rifle if I did not swage a projectile for it. The thought of buying them off the shelf seems like cheating, almost inferior!
Each time I pull that trigger and hear that ...twack ...of a solid head shot it makes me smile. Building something that does a good job is always rewarding, no matter what it is.

Ya know BT, while $650.00 is a little step for my wallet right now. I think that when some people, me included, see affordable we expect it to be under a $100.00. But considering the cost of premium dies then, they are affordable. It's your time, material and design so don't apologize for the price or your choice of words to describe them. You're not forcing us to buy them, just offering an alternative. Just think in 5 years they will cost $850.00 due to inflation and material cost increases and then the current price will seem affordable. Good job.

We are regularly shooting office type bulletin board "push pins" with these bullets at 100 yards.
They are as accurate as any factory 55 grain bullets I have ever loaded and fired.

I use a bunch of 22 lr case bullets for varmint shooting.
same load as I use for the Hornady 55 gr FMJ's.
but they will regularly win either the longest or highest piece award when we go out ground squirrel shooting.
