I have not shot any threw a suppressor so don't have any first hand experience to base an answer on but........ my opinion is that everything would depend on the person that makes the bullet, the person that loads the live ammo, the load/fps, and the twist and quality of the barrel. If the person that made these bullets followed a strict routine to ensure all bullets where made properly, if he didn't load them to hot and if the twist was low and the barrel in good shape and good quality then one has done as much as one can to lessen the odds of one coming apart in the can.

I can shoot these bullets all day out of my high quality barrel with a 12 twist without problem but I can not give a definite yes or no answer to the suppressor question. It is a risk with any bullet I suppose and a greater risk the thinner the jacket is of said bullet. Bullets made with 22lr brass are possibly the thinnest jacket available for a bullet to be made with so.....

I suppose it is like the lottery, if you play long enough eventually you "might" win. Same I suppose is true shooting thin jacketed bullets threw a suppressor, the more bullets you shoot the more the odds of one coming apart go up.

If I really valued the suppressor I would probably not risk it, if I didn't mind the possibility I might damage it and I was very confident in my bullet making and reloading skills then I probably would give it a try. Of course I would test loads in said gun before shooting it with can on.

Hope that clears it all up

If I really valued a supressor I wouldn't get a sealed can one.. I'd get a disposable cyl type or one you can take apart to service the wipes.

When I bought mine, there were no user serviceable 30 caliber suppressors on the market. That is a feature I would prefer in any future purchases though.

Base punches are the three small punches pictured that have the shell holder slot machined into to the base so it can slide into the shell holder slot of the ram of a typical reloading press.

The Lee Classic Cast press has a two piece ram for which the top half unscrews. I supply a new ram top that holds the auto ejection system to the ram and is also threaded 1/2-20tpi so that instead of a shell holder type base punch we can use stronger threaded base punches.

The added strength of the threaded base punches really comes in handy when making bigger bullets. The shell holder slot of a typical reloading press is not as strong as it could be and when swaging BIG bullets it can compress over time. This isn't as critical or even an issue when making these small 22 cal bullets but for some one interested in making bigger bullets then 22 cal this is a very good option.

Until I make a new video with this new line of dies check out this video I made on the use of my premium 30 cal dies in the Lee Classic Cast press. Even though the dies look different the concept and use of dies is the same. In the opening scene of the video you can see the three threaded base punches with the flange shoulder, a very strong set up for sure!

Are you planning to sell each die individually? I would be interested in a point forming and a core mold

I'll set one aside for you Dennis. I was up late last night and short on sleep at the moment as well. Was up late polishing and putting the finishing touches on all these dies. They are all ready for Nitride Processing. Just have a few additional calibers worth of dies to finish and they will be on their way!

I'll be able to offer the point form die separate for anyone interested, at this time only the 22 cal point form die is available in the BTSimple line and BTSimple price. I have established the price and listed it on the first page but will also post it here....

These make 55gr rounds sure, but what about 77gr? What would it take to get them to make the heavier bullets?

It would take 22 more grains of lead It really is that simple. I only plan to offer the small molds to make 55 grains, this allows me to make them all the same and keep prices down.
