Widener's IMHO has good price on 5744

Was just surfing Widener's and found they have 5744 in stock, 8 pounders for $157.75. Best price I have seen on this powder in years. Powder valley is $227/8 pounds for 5744

Also list Win 760 $120/8 lbs. great price.

Yes I am fully aware of shipping and haz-mat theft. Still a good price and you can combine other powders primers an bullets in one order to off set Haz-mat theft.

5744 is on my short list to try. I still have 13-14 pounds of SR4759 to burn through first.

I am wondering if there is a misprint in Weidners prices? I've never seen 800x for $95/8lb or HP-38 at $134/ 8lbs not to mention 4227 for $141/8lb. Herco for $119/ 8lb? BE=86 for $128.50? Even with hazmat and shipping the prices are pretty good combined with some primers.

Prices don't make sense. 4# 700-X is $52.50. 8# is $132. The 800-X and Titewad prices are really tempting. Even the HP-38 is slightly below PV's price. I don't have enough primers now let alone if I buy more pistol powder :laugh:

I haven't bought from them since the family sold the online business. I wasn't happy that they had a copy of my DL and could not get an answer as to what was done w/ it.

That sounds like an awesome price. I've only seen 5744 in person once or twice, and they wanted somewhere around $40 for just one pound, so I've never even tried it. That sounds like a really good deal for that amount of it though.
