Yes, they go for about what a new Magma/Star machine costs. Once in awhile you'll run into a deal locally, but on-line, they go high. I've gotten them for as little as free, and as much as $275.00, depending on condition and what comes with them.

    Hope this helps.

$250 with no dies is a fair price. If you see one for $175 or 200 that works, snatch their arm off.

I grabbed mine for 250 quickly it hadn't even had lube in it yet.
I had all the extra stuff [air/heater/feeder] on hand and grabbed it as soon as I seen it.

Just picked up my 3rd sizer with a cracked upper bracket for $250, but it came with 6 original dies and top punches and original star die removal tool. Good thing I have a friend who is an excellent tig welder.

I chased a good deal until I got Fed up and ordered a new magma , and haven't looked back . I was competing against people paying as much and more for a Used star lube sizer (as is with no warranty) as buying a new magma so I went with a new magma . But I'm not a collector .

I think the same as you do. I am not buying something used for close to the cost of new. On the flip side, it is nice to buy high end stuff and know someone will pay you almost as much as you invested in it.

I found one yesterday at a local gun show for $140.00 with the punch and die for .358. My buddy bought it and was giggling like a little girl.
