What Reloading press uses this primer arm?

What press does this priming arm fit? It is almost 4" long and about 0.368" thick.

It appears identical (even the width) to the one on my Dad's old Herters press. I doubt if Herters actually made most of their stuff so maybe it will also fit some thing else.

Kootne is correct; I just dug my HERTERS priming arm out and also verified the measurements . There should be a drilled out spot for a coil spring about 3/4 inches from the mounting hole . The unit came with a spring loaded priming arm as shown for large primers and also a spare plunger/seater for small primers. I took the assembly off my old press years ago and use a hand primer instead.

That one looks almost like the RCBS and Lyman Uni. primer assembly. They are both the same lenght and the hole to put the pin in for the press. Also have the seater for the primers for larger and small, same with a spring.I use that on my Lyman T press.

    Doesn't fit my brother's Lyman Spar-T.
Doesn't fit any of my presses.

    Hmmm?

CAG40Navy just brought over an old Herters press a Little Old Man gave him. It had no primer arm, but now it does!

Brass magnet, I hope he also gave you a bunch of HERTERS shell holders to accommodate your ammo. My old HERTERS press does not take current RCBS-type shell holders. GOOD NEWS: I have an adapter to use commercially available shell holders on my old HERTERS press. BAD NEWS: As it is longer than the HERTERS original with a commercial shell holder on it, the priming arm is now too short to seat a primer fully ...... which was the original reason that I went to off-press priming (but later found that it works better for me anyway)

This press uses regular shell holders.

My ECHO's are .25 as I just measured. Why would you need such a thick primer arm? The .25 look pretty thick to me on mine.

I had to buy an adapter for my ECHO. Unscrew the original and screw in the new one. I got it off ebay for $5? It does seem a little higher than the orginal but I don't use the press to seat primers only for full length sizeing and small base dies.

You'll see that the 1960's shell holder on the left is considerably different than current commercial ones in the middle ... but current ones fit into the adapter for my OLD HERTERS Model 3 press (the darn thing just will not wear out!)Click image for larger version.
