    311041 Strikes Again

No pics but I was able to put the 311041 into the boiler room of a fat whitetail doe the first day of doe season here in PA. High double lung at 90 yards through some light brush...she ran about 75 yards after the shot...dead when I got to her. I guess someone forgot to tell this gal that a 30-30 isn't enough to kill a whitetail and that lead boolits are antiquated. Small hole going in, inch wide hole coming out. Gotta love it.

Nice work Chuck......something extremely satisfying about putting meat on the table with our hand made offerings isn't there?

Thanks, Bomber. IMR 4198 is an excellent cast boolit powder in the .30-30, IMO. Semper Fi and Merry Christmas, Treetop

Good job! What alloy & lube are you using? GC? Looking forward to casting some for my 30WCF's and maybe even a 30-06. Helped a youngster take his first deer with a 311041 this year and I'm already looking forward to hunting with that boolit next year.

Seems the 31141 is difficult to improve upon. My first "small bore" cast deer was with it in a .30-30 as well. Congratulations.

Water dropped COWW...lube is beeswax/Vasiline with a couple of crayons for color. Sized to .309 with a GC.
