Hey neighbor, take a look at this thread. Read the particulars carefully cause I think they're all important. Where in SC are you?

I did couple of years ago along with a .375 round ball. Powder used was Unique and kept with either 1 oz or 1 1/4oz load data.

Copdills, while not as perfect as Hogtamer's load, I have had good results with 9 .311 balls in a Winchester 12aa wad loaded in Remington gunclub or sts hulls. 9 of those balls weigh about 15/16 of an ounce when cast of wheelweights, so any powder good for 1 ounce loads should do fine. I've had good luck with International Clays and Unique. BTW, howdy to another South Carolinian.

.311 or 0 buck, stacks in a 12ga shot cup the same as 00 does without a cup. I bought a 0 buck mold for my 16ga, then a 1 buck for my 20, and 1 buck stacks neatly in a 16ga shotcup.

I use a mold that throws a .305 ball. 9 in a shot cup in a federal 2 3/4 hull. 18 grains of Reddot makes a mild low recoil load. Nothing earth shattering but sufficient for house defense and not punishing for training.
