Group Buy 200 gr. and 250 gr. RNFP in 44 Mag Pistola

Several folks have posted postmortems of deer here on the site.

I have yet to find a load that sends these close to the same point of impact.

What load are you using and what is the max distance you feel comfortable shooting with your pistol and load?

In both .44-40 and .44 Magnum Ruger revolvers and the Marlin 1894S lever-actions with 20" Microgroove barrels in both calibers I load the Accurate 43-230G flatnosed bullet, cast 1:30 tin-lead from Roto Metals with 7.2 grains of Bullseye. Effective revolver load at over 50 yards. Accuracy is sufficient that I practice on a 12" steel gong at 100 yards firing standing with a 2-handed hold and I can hit the gong with the revolver with acceptable regularity. For hunting purpose I limit shots at game to 50 yards.

Side-by-Side comparisons fired the same day with .44-40 Factory and *Group 2 (+P) loads fired in two Vaqueros using the same .44-40 cylinder, with 19.5" H&R Single Shot rifle for comparison:
