    "Reseal" pot spout?

Hogged out the pour spout of my lee production pot because i was having problems with it, now it's over size and leaks. is there a bigger plug or something available to seal it up between pours? any other fixes?

You can get a new production pot assembly (10#) for 8 bucks.

Don't know of any other way to repair it back to being a bottom pour.

have you tried to add some weight to the handle so it weighs a bit more? That might be enough to hold the plunger part tighter to the spout and keep it from leaking.

Cost and effort needed is cheap (free) before ordering a new liner

When I did use a bottom pour . I started to empty the pot by pouring out any remaining lead after each use . And while the pot was still hot from being used I would point the pot in a safe direction away form any objects and blow compressed air through the bottom of the spout into the pot . This eliminated many spout cleaning .Marvin

By "hogging" I assume you removed some metal with like a drill bit. Lapping the rod and spout now will likely improve the leakage. You must get that sealing surface reestablished. Might need to start with valve grinding compound, then move to finer stuff. I would use a power drill on the rod.

Thanks for the tip. GOt a whole new kit for just a few bucks and it works great. Bookmarked FS and going to do more business with them in the future.

I like FS. They have good prices on molds and handles too, and often have molds on sale.
    Good luck with the pot!!

Lee has the replacement parts. Not expensive. Probably cost more for the shipping than the part.
