Been a while since anyone posted in this sub forum - so here is a WIP

On this Sunday 4th of December 2016, Canberra Custom Knife Show is at Tarwa Valley Village Hall.
As usual there is a knife making competition, and this year the theme is to make a knife (or knives) with Artisan Supplies's Knife Making Kit.
Contestant supposed to make the knife and post the WIP on social media.
On December 1, 3 days before the show, I start my knife... I got to be crazy.....









In here the blade is heat treated and polished afterwards.

I like the shape.
Different . . . . in a good sorta way.

Neat! I like the handle shape a lot. I can't make a knife without thinking skinning, gutting and maybe fighting if and when I run out of bullets (and NOT before! I've seen what a good man with a knife can do!). But I like what you've done. A straight blade will actually do a lot more than most folks think. We're just so habituated to curves on the edge that we mostly, I think, have come to expect them. What steel did you use? SS or carbon?

Blackwater
The blade is made of 1075 carbon steel.
As in the rule of the competition, contestants are to make their knives with the supplied steel bar.

Love the square blade, I'm a huge fan. Looks like a quality home made knife thanks for the write up and pictures.
