    Universal m1carbine ?

    Hello,
I have a gen1 Universal carbine, and according to Universal's web site serial #'s that start with x are experimental but only go up to X400. Mine is X5$$. Was wondering if anyone knows anything about them.
    Thanks Scott

This link covers most of the Universal Carbine story: http://www.m1carbinesinc.com/carbine_universal.html

I don't shoot mine a lot, but it has never given me any trouble.

I've got one of the few stainless steel M1's that they made. I don't shoot mine much either, but that's mostly because I don't like having to chase brass all over the county
