Sorry, I just had to post that I thought the thread might be about a cow chip flingin' contest or something.

Sorry for the interruption, back to the regularly scheduled programming.

BTW, never heard of such a thing as your triple fowl meal.

We had one for Christmas dinner last year. Goose, turkey, chicken, pheasant and partridge, all boned out, layered with stuffing and butter. Took hours to cook properly but tasted really good with loads left over for late night fridge raiding. Glad I got the local game butcher to do the prep work as I think if I had a hand in it it would have looked like road kill!
Cost was about £40 ($50) for 17lb of heaven on a plate and easily fed the 10 of us.

Jack Pepin has a recipe for boned chicken ( skin legs, wings, breasts etc away from carcass) stuffed with ground pork or sausage with olives, stuffing seasoning, etc. Makes a chicken almost into half a turkey. Can be sliced into great steaks or sandwich meat.
We need somebody/something to keep the government (cops and bureaucrats too) HONEST (by non government oversight).

Every "freedom" (latitude) given to government is a loophole in the rule of law. Every loophole in the rule of law is another hole in our freedom. When they even obey the law that is. Too often government seems to feel itself above the law.

We forgot to take out the trash in 2012, but 2016 was a charm! YESSS!

We made Turducken for several years, they ARE really good! My favorite trick is to wait until about the 3rd week of January when they are half price at Harris Teeter, then stick it in the freezer until Thanksgiving..

Last couple or three years we have been making pheasant because there is only two of us and it makes less to pack away in the freezer.

I remember one year I wanted turducken, but wasn't going to pay the $80 going rate for a full one, so I took chicken thighs, skin on, and got them deboned at the store, then I stuffed them with some pork tenderloin, celery, carrots, green onions and country sausage, wrapped them all up and closed the skin over them, placed the seam in the skin on the bottom and I made some basting liquid, I forgot now what it was, butter, and chicken broth, but in lieu of not having a turducken? Heh it was PRETTY DANGED GOOD!! If I can find the photo I will come post it.. I would make this again.
