yeah like I said I loaded the 314 299 just like yours and it worked fine in semiauto, one after another. I see u have a tapco mag, I wonder if that makes any difference

Ditto you can not safely reload without a caliper.

well I've got the SKS humming right along with the lee 312-155-2r and 18.5 (18.something, its wrote on my powder measure) and is still pinpoint accurate, though for 50 yards it must be set at 250yrd, I don't want to adjust the front site because I still use jacketed SP's for hog/deer. I will still be looking out for a 150ish gr mold because I would like the added energy of a heavier boolit. but that's all for now. I have done some jacketed loads but here is not the place for that, lol.

In one of your recent posts, I saw a question about a jacketed bullet load for the SKS. I stumbled on one which gave excellent accuracy, approximately 1" at 100 yards out of the one I was shooting. It was a Rem or Win 150gr .30-30 bullet seated just deep enough for reliable clearance in the mag over 26gr of AA 2015. The thin jacket and soft core of the .30-30 bullets allow obturation to full groove diameter at the heel and the weight/length is perfect for the twist rate. I don't know the velocity, but I was getting generous expansion on recovered examples. A soft-cast paper patched Lyman 311466 sized .311 also works very well over the same charge.

Since AA2015 is being mentioned, I'll go ahead and mention that I've had pretty good luck with a Lee tl160-2R over 20gr AA2015 in my AK, pretty slow, but it functions the action. It might not function the SKSs action, but I thought I would mention it.
