Motorola & Bullitt Satellite Messenger device

We spend a lot of time in the Montana backcountry, out of cell range. So, now this Motorola Defy Satellite link device apparently just became functional for U.S.- wide coverage. We picked one up a few days ago & will try it out.

It's kinda like a Spot/Garmin Mini deal; cell phone bluetooth or the device itself enables you to send texts or S.O.S. so long as you can see a satellite, via the related Bullitt Messenger app.

Advantage is the device is less expensive to buy than the others & the 1st year service is free.

Wonder if anyone's actually used it yet in the U.S. .....or maybe overseas?

I’ve heard that the new smart phones can send SOS texts to the Starlink satellites.
