    We are on the NW edge of Christchurch.

    LOTS of damage inland and up the coast. The main state highway is closed in numerous places and will be for weeks if not months. The railway line is kaput also.

    The damage is incredible but I am surprised at the low loss of life, 2 is it ?
    Seems like there are a couple other members there, anyone hear how they are making out ?

    House is fine thanks Reg. The epicentre was quite a distance away and our house came through all the other quakes well. It is build like a tank.

    Glad your home is OK. Some of those coastal roads will have to be moved outward,
    or move a million cubic yards of rock if you want them back where they were.
