Veterans Day is special to me.It is my Fathers birthday(11-11-1896).He would be 120 years old today if living. He was a WW1 veteran and served in the trenches with his oldest brother.God bless all who have served, all who are serving and those who will serve in the future.

My mother's birthday too. 11-11-38. We always joked my grandfather planned it that way. He was the rock on the Marne. An infantryman in 3rd ID, WWI. I have his discharge upstairs and I fly the flag from his coffin every veteran's day.
