BLL works, it is not hard to make, I happen to like to add 2% carnuba wax to mine. Just love the way it leaves the bores like mirrors. Does not seem to hurt the accuracy any either. I believe it leaves a little harder shell. Less sticky, but I could be wrong.

Consistency is the key I think. An exact even coat all the way around the same thickness. Exactly the same on each bullet, and each bullet the same as the others.

For me that is easier to do with 2 or 3 light coats of thinned ie BLL.

I suspect for others that straight alox warmed on warm bullets with the proper amount would do the same, or nearly the same thing.

So then it becomes a question of which is easier to learn and gain that experience with? If you are having trouble locating the wax you may want to go the other way.

I choose BLL, others may choose straight. There are no wrong answers. There is only lube and processes that work, and those that do not. YMMV
