I got to lookin at my SKS and noticed there is a lot of side to side movement of the barrel in the stock, is this normal or should I try to fix it?

Mine in the factory stock was tight and shot great. Now it sits in a plastic folder so there's movement. I think you have a problem, but if it shoots good- don't worry about it.
